LSQ LONDON 2018-01-17T12:08:43+00:00

Project Description

Leicester Square was originally created as a gentrified residential area that house the well to do of London. When in the house was demolished in the 18th Century the area became a centre for entertainment, which has continued to be the case into the 21st century. Leicester Square now houses Odeon Leicester Square and Empire. Both of these cinemas are the UK and European premieré venues.

We are proud to have been part of the renovation of this iconic centre for entertainment, not just in London, but the UK. Our work on 48 LSQ was on the iconic 95,000 sq ft retail and office building in the heart of central London’s busy Leicester Square. We worked with the Main Contractor Brookfield and Mechanical Contractor Designer Group on the Development Team.

The entire building was completely gutted, retaining only its stunning and impressive Victorian facade. We installed the shell and core services, consisting of basement pumps, heat exchangers, air handling units, sprinkler tanks and cold water storage tanks. The gas riser installation consists of modularised lthw and chw, hot, cold, soil, vent together with supply air and fire rated extract ductwork and the smoke extract system.
We were also responsible for Public Health, incorporating plumbing, above ground drainage, hot and cold water, sewage and rainwater extraction.
The Plantroom installations included chillers, boilers, air handling units, heat exchangers and pumps
